Hi, I desperately need help on all three of these questions. I have contributed a lot of answers to this section so would appreciate any help. No one in physics would answer. question 1: http://img577.imageshack.us/img577/556/physicsquestion.png question 2: http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/6100/physicsquestion2.png question 3: http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/175/physicsquestion3.png

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

For Q1, i get a force of 13.5 kN at 6m from point A not 100% though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks a lot dumbcow. How did you reach that answer? I understand it's to do with adding up all the moments but I don't know where to start.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh lol...you just find the area...so it's 27/2 kN yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how to find the centroid? hmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you find the location? How did you get 6?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you think youve contributed alot of answers eh ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

hmmm, application is my weak point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

never mind, i figured it out 13.5 * x = 3*4.5 + 7.5*9 so x = 6

OpenStudy (amistre64):

cool :) im hoping to eventually be able to get as good at application as i am at actually numbering these things up good job :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm still hopelessly stuck for question 2 and 3 though :( if i can do question 2a, then 2b is easy
