Which scenario describes a mutually beneficial relationship with fungi in an ecosystem? fungus growing inside an anthill fungus growing on the leaves of plants fungus used to make medications for humans fungus used as food for human consumption

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Many land plants benefit from fungus. Likewise, the fungus benefits from the land plant as well. The plant benefits by more-efficient mineral (especially phosphorus) uptake. The fungus benefits by the sugars translocated to the root by the plant. Thus, making it a mutually beneficial relationship. In the anthill scenario, usually the fungus that grows inside an anthill is poisonous to ants, so they do not benefit from eating it, they die. The last two are obviously not beneficial to the fungus.
