I'm guessing that given that it would require much heavier and more expensive wire to distribute the power, the power per base-board remain constant.

OpenStudy (radar):

The frequency would remain the same as it is usually a standard within a certain country, U.S.A. being 60 Hz Europe 50Hz. I think your guess for the heavier wire is probably a good one.
