This has always been a problem for me, but it doesn't seem to affect anyone else so I haven't brought it up: What do you guys see when I type this...

\[\huge\vec v\]I see a large square instead of a vector symbol I presume this is another consequence of my out-of-date computer somehow, but I would like to know if it can be remedied.

Huh. Yeah, I see it properly. What browser are you using? MathJax, the library we use for LaTeX rendering, should be providing the proper fonts to render this stuff right. Also, when did you start seeing this?

I see a vector symbol both on my PC and my Mac using the current version of Chrome.

I must be an oddball, because I see the square AND the vector symbol.

its ok for me, both chrome and firefox on linux

With Internet Explorer 9 I see a vector.
