In APA format, is there a particular way it arrange a citation that includes two sources in one paraphrase? Ex. As much as the nurses and staff found relief in the comfort of the therapy dog, another study has explored that it is a delicate balance for the animal to both nurture others and nurture themselves and that extra care must be given to be sure the animal is not over-stressed (Rossetti et al., 2008, Heimlich, 2001). Is the comma between the sources sufficient? Or should I use something else?

Your example is correct, except change the comma between your two sources to a semicolon.
