I need help with two more poly's! ugh 1. 3a^n(a^n+a^n-1) and 2. 6xy(1/2x^2-1/3xy+1/6y^2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What to we have to do with them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3a^n(a^n+a^{n-1}) \] \[3a^{n+n}+3a^{n-1+n}=3a^{2n}+3a^{2n-1}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a matter of adding up the exponents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me with the second one? I find this to be quite difficult. :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@siddhantsharan they're supposed to be simplified.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. Look : \[6xy( 1/2 *x ^{-2} - 1/3*(xy)^{-1} + 1/6* y ^{2})\] \[= 3x ^{-1} y -2 + xy ^{3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simply open up the brackett. Add the respective powers of the same variable.

Thanks!
