please help me. I had just accidentally deleted a value in winlogon registry, and i don`t know how to restore it again,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you delete it permanently, try the recylce bin otherwise.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I tried i but i can`t find it there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did it break anything? If yes then repair from a windows disk.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don`t know, because after I accedentally deleted that file, I didn`t close the regedit or restart the computer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you view the regedit in your computer and post a captured picture of winlogon in modify binary data, it is located in: by that way I will create a new binary data.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its not there in windows 7, try this maybe http://download.cnet.com/Free-Window-Registry-Repair/3000-2086_4-10606555.html

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks, but it didn`t work. what I am just hoping now is that after I restarted my computer it will still going to work properly. _-``

If you still haven't restarted, i would suggest turning it off the hard way, remove the mains plug or press the start button for long. That wont save any changes for the session. Or if you have already applied that tool then i guess restart it and everything would be alright.

thanks again.

there is a registry backup but to install it you have to boot to recovery console from a windows disk....plenty of tutorials on it around the net
