need help plus or minus square root 100 over 49

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Over? as in divide?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so the square root of 100 is 10. Then divide by 49 I guess. So 10 divided by 49... is .204? Well thats what Google says anyway xD Did that help?

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

I think the problem is \[\pm\sqrt{100 \over 49}\]In this case, notice that the square root of 100 is 10, and the square root of 49 is 7, so your answer should be \[{10 \over 7}=1.42857\]if you need decimals.

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

plus or minus of course. So it should be \(\pm 1.42857\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh the square root of 49 too. Okaay i just thought they meant divide by 49. Sorry! :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):
