Look at triangle EFG. Nick has to draw a triangle TUV congruent to EFG. He has only a compass and a straightedge to help him draw the congruent triangle. Explain, using complete sentences, the steps Nick can use to create the congruent triangle.

we (by we i mean Nick) want to construct the triangle with the same dimensions only using the compass and straightedge. We have a few options with these tools. The two we need: - Copying an angle - Copying a side If we started with a line and placed a point on the line, we could copy the length of EG and the angle E, and then draw a ray from your original point through that angle. Then, we can copy the side FE onto that ray. Since we have all three points, we can connect those two found points to form the triangle.
