Is there any possible means to remove the WGA notification in my PC?

Every time I turn on my PC, it's desktop background turns out black.

I pirated the OS of my comp. because I can't really afford to buy the original one. It is too expesinve. x_O"

If you're a student, you can get Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 which is basically Windows 7 made for servers legally and for free (on DreamSpark) which you can configure to behave like Windows 7 except it's even better since things that waste system resources are disabled by default.

Having said that, if having Windows is not critical, get Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (www.ubuntu.com) when it will come out this coming end of April. With a program called Wine, you can run Windows programs in it including games but tweaking will likely need to be done for many games to work. I believe Wine has better support for old Windows programs than Windows itself.

Don't be scared by the version I suggested. It's very similar "under the hood" including for multimedia/games.

How old? Also, I think 12.04 is vastly improving its Unity interface.
