Jim is designing a seesaw for a children’s park. The seesaw should make an angle of 30° with the ground and the maximum height to which it should rise is 1 meter, as shown below.What is the maximum length of the seesaw? Answer 0.5 meters 1 meter 1.4 meters 2 meters

the triangle created is 30-60-90 so since the shortest side is 1 meter, then the hypotenuse (the see saw) should be twice that or 2 meters.

ok, since sin(30 degrees) = 1/x, then x = 1/sin(30 degrees)
sin30 = 1/x => x = 1/sin30 = 2m
