simplify the given rational expression 66x(2x-5) ---------- 18x^3(2x-5)^2
\[\frac{11}{3x^2 (2x-5)}\]
Why do people post answers without explaining the intermediate steps? That's useless.
Not really. If people ask for steps, we give them. It;s not a big issue.
You realize 95% of people will simply copy the answer without learning anything, right?
[ 66x(2x-5) ] / [ 18x³(2x-5)² ] [ 66x(2x-5) ] / [ 18x³(2x-5)² ] x in both top and bottom [ 66(2x-5) ] / [ 18x²(2x-5)² ] (2x - 5) in both top and bottom [ 66 ] / [ 18x²(2x-5) ] 6 in both top and bottom (66 is 6*11) [ 11 ] / [ 3x²(2x-5) ] There's your final answer. 11/ [ 3x²(2x-5) ]
actualy i have the answer already (teachers weird) trying to figure out how to actually solv the damn thing lol
Should also note that 18x³(2x-5)² cannot be zero, so x can't equal 5/2 and 0. Set both of the parts to 0 and solve for x to find that.
Agreed. For example, But let's say i post the whole long working and in the end the asker just looks at the answer and runs away.. it wastes our time..
Yeah, that's a good point.
well i appreciat your guys/gals work... thanks
I've been tutoring for more than a year. And i know it's an old debate. ;)
Whether or not they want an explanation, if they just get an answer then they still won't know how to do it.
The sad part is the people that spend hours scanning their whole homework and posting every single problem here. If they took the time to read their material instead, I bet they would actually be able to solve the questions themselves in the same amount of time :(
Agreed.
XD
lol not making me feel great about asking for help... but thank you anyways
lol no problem.
Boxman61 don't worry, I wasn't talking about you :P
That was general discussion.. most people does it..
