jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're missing a ] does it go before the exponent or after the exponent?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ie, is the problem 4+2[8 + (3-1)²] OR is it 4+2[8 + (3-1)]²

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4+2[8 + (3-1)²]

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry about that!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

No worries 4+2[8 + (3-1)²] 4+2[8 + (2)²] 4+2[8 + 2x2] 4+2[8 + 4] 4+2[12] 4 + 24 28 So 4+2[8 + (3-1)²] = 28
