Three men, G, L, and T , decide to have a mini-party. At the agreed time, G shows up with 5 bottles of wine, and L with 3 bottles; T , who had worked beyond the closing time of the liquor store, offers to pay his share in cash and is told by his friends to fork out $24. After the party, the money is divided between G and L (who had brought the wine) so that each of the three has contributed an equal share. How is the money split, if all the bottles of wine are identical and purchased from the same store?
