Or (from the link), in the words of farmdawgnation, "Moderators are either members of the OpenStudy team (like myself) or community members who the team feels have the qualities of a good moderator based on how they interact with other community members. It's really not that glamorous, but if you really want to be a moderator the only way to get there is to become an active, helpful member of OpenStudy and hope you get lucky when we decide to add more moderators. :)"
