did anyone read the odyssey?

I did read it some several years back in high school. A good story attributed to the Greek story teller, Homer, following the Iliad (also attributed to Homer). It's a story about Odysseus, the King of Ithaca, and his perilous journey going back to his homeland. He was one of the heroes among the Greek ranks in the Trojan War. After the War, he was punished by the Sea god, Poseidon, to wander longer in the sea before he can come back. He and his men encountered monsters, a witch and storms of all sorts on their journey. An almost similar plot of another story was also told by another author, Virgil, in the "Aeneid". Virgil was Latin (Roman) in origin, so the hero and god names were in their Roman form (i.e. Zeus would be Jupiter). The Aeneid was also a story of a hero from the Trojan War, Aeneas, and his adventures after the war. Though Aeneas was a hero from the Trojan's side (fighting against the Greeks).
