What is a difference between ATP and ADP molecules?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Adino triphosphate - Three phosphate chains attached. Fully charged energy molecule. Adino diphosphate - Two phosphate chains attached. Partially charged energy mocule. ATP convert to ADP in several energy requiring processes.

OpenStudy (kainui):

It's actually Adenosine, which is a combination of adenine and ribose sugar. Adenosine is also found in DNA!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Adenosine diphosphate(ADP) has a structure that is similar to that of Adenosine triphosphate(ATP) the only difference is that ADP has two phosphate groups instead of three. When a cell has energy available, it can store small amounts of energy by adding a phosphate group to ADP molecules producing ATP.
