I am in a doctoral program, writing a theoretical framework paper for my class assignment this session - I want to put a pie chart and two bar graphs in the document. Can I put them in the body or shall I put them at the end of the document and refer to them in the text? And if so, are they figures or tables?

Can I put them in the body or shall I put them at the end of the document and refer to them in the text?  And if so, are they figures or tables?

I would say put them at the end and refer to them in your writing, it would look more professional that way, instead of having graphs in the middle of your writing. They are referred to as figures. Tables is written data.
