12s^2-29s+15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you want me to do with it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor by grouping, i got to 12s^2-12s-15s+15, and 12s(s-1)-15(s+1) and don't know where to go from there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm looking up how to do it and then I'll help you :-). Forgive me, it's probably been 8 years since I've done this.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

The factors will be, \[(3s - 5)(4s- 3)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aha, i was using the wrong factors for the ac method. thanks saifoo

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Actually u have to look for numbers with multiply up to get: 12 * 15 = 180 And when we add those numbers we get-29. so, 12s^2 - 12s - 15s + 15 = 0

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

did a typo in that. Sorry! :)
