If Margaretville has 7,500 dog owners, and almost half of the people in Margaretville that own cats also own dogs, about how many people own both animals?

If you draw a venn diagram to solve this, you will see that somewhere you are missing information. It may just be a poorly worded question, or someone assumed something... I'm not sure. Say one area of the venn diagram is for People with Dogs, the other is for People with Cats, and there is somewhere in the middle for People who own Cats and Dogs. We would need to know something about the population (does everyone own a pet? How many people are in Margaretville?) in order to begin to solve this. Sorry, good luck with your studies!
