Combining like terms. 1. 3/5 b - 3+5 - 2/5 b Pleaase help me ! D:

OpenStudy (ash2326):

We have \[\frac{3}{5} b-3+5 -\frac{2}{5} b\] @Lepgirl we'll combine the bs together and the constant terms together Let's rearrange the expression \[\frac{3}{5} b -\frac{2}{5} b-3+5\] Now as the denominators are same we can combine the fraction \[\frac{3b-2b}{5}-3+5\] We get \[\frac{b}{5}-3+5\] or \[\frac{b}{5}+2\]
