what is the area, in square units, of the triangle with the coordinates (0,0) (0,7) (9,0)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is 31.5 units squared because 9 mutiplied by 7 divided by two equals 31.5. \[area = 1/2 bh\]

This is not to be done like this. It is a coordinate geometry question and so proper formula needs to be applied.
