What is the slope of a line that is parallel to the y-axis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

undefined b/c it is a vertical line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The slope would be undefined because the y-axis is a vertical line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Think about it this way: Slope is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) So if you have (2,5) and (2,6) Then you have (6-5)/(2-2) = 1/0 Division by zero is undefined.
