The measures of three sides of a triangle are consecutive odd integers. The perimeter of the triangle is 57. What are the measures of the three sides? One point for the equation and one point for the solution.

Perimeter = 57 57 = x + (x +2) + (x + 4) | Those are the 3 sides of the triangle, I add 2 and 4 to the 2nd and 3rd sides because they're odd numbers, there must be another number between them. 57 = 3x + 6 | That's the equation. 51 = 3x | Solving it 17 = x | This is the value of x, you only have to add 2 and 4 to get the next odd numbers. So the measures of the sides are: 17, 19 and 21
