The dimension of a rectangle are such that its length is 5 inches more than its width. If the length were doubled and if the width were decreased by 2 inches, the area would be increased by 190 in.^2. What are the length and width of the rectangle?

original width = x original length = x +5 2(x+5)(x-2)- x(x+5) = 190 just make operations to find x

u will get 2 answers: 14, -15. Choose positive, since negative in this case has no sence so the width is 14, and length 19.
