Factoring special products? I really need help with these two: 5x^3+40y^6 and a^3y+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On the second one is it (a+1) (a^2=a+1) or is that a ^3? Thanks for the help!

If anyone else happens to need help with this problem the actual answer is: 5(x+2y^2)(x^2-2xy^2+4y^4)

I'm grateful for your effort I just figured if someone else needs help an accurate answer might be good. :) That's all.
