3x+2y=-10, 2x-5y=3 can you show me how this gets worked out by using elimination

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Solve for x or y in any of the equations.

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

that's the first step.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First change both equations so that you are able to cancel out a variable. In my case, x. 6x+4y = -20 6x-15y = 15 Then, subtract equations to cancel out 6x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what happens after that

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

ohh Shiroh is right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so follow what she said then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That would then become 19y = -35

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks shirohxD

you're welcome :D
