How to find 'X' when sin90 sinX ---- = ---- 3.6 2.0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sin 90 is 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just cross multiply and get sinx=2/3.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just like a ratio. Do the sign of 90 times 2.0 = sinx times 3.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2/3.6 = 0.556 so x=sin0.556 x=0.0097

OpenStudy (beth12345):

ok ill try that

OpenStudy (beth12345):

I got 0.519, is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=0.519?

OpenStudy (beth12345):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think so, well it's not the answer I ended up with anyway

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sin90 is 1 so if you cross multiply you would get SinX(3.6)=2 right?

OpenStudy (beth12345):

In the answer book, it says it should be 34 but i don't know how they got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

34...

OpenStudy (beth12345):

now I got x=0.58

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Huh, i'm not sure then you can try making a new post so more people can help

OpenStudy (beth12345):

ok well thanks for trying :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're welcome
