Graph the linear equation by finding the x and y intercepts. y=1/5x+2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know the y intercept its the 2/3 part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the x intercept is just set y as zero and solve for x. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no. when i set y as zero, am i suppose to add 1/5 and 2/3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no first you subtract the 2/3 over. then divide by 1/5 (the same as multiplying by 5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now do you get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i think i got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so what did you get for x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=1/15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not quite you have 2/3 times 5/1|dw:1331688806073:dw|
