3x^2=147

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide by 3. then take the sqrt of that

Still confused

OpenStudy (flying_dutchman):

3x^2=147 | you have to solve the equation, this means making the value of x obvious. 3x^2/3 = 147 /3 | you divide both terms by 3 x^2 = 49 | now you only have to take out the power (2) \[\sqrt{x ^{2}} = \sqrt{49}\] x = 7 | that's the result
