A ball was dropped from rest covers 3/4ths of the distance to the ground in the last second of its fall. A) from what height the ball was dropped b) what was the total time of its fall. I have no clue how to do this :-/, and could use some help. What I do know-> gravity = 9.8m/s^2 Distance = VxT + 1/2x A x t^2 ... how would i go about solving this? Thanks

Let the total height by h. In the total duration of its fall, an equation is: h=0.5g\[t^{2}\] Till the last second, the time will be given as (t-1). Write the equation of motion accordingly. thus, h'=0.5g(t-1)ˆ2 h'/h=3/4. Therefore, solve for h.
