Find the lengths of each of the lines radiating from the pythagorean spiral. Note that all of the outside edges are 1 unit long and form right angles.

One side is the square root of 2, and then it increases on the next triangle to the square root of 3. I don't understand how to get that answer, and I've tried every formula in this chapter.
