Do you want the inverse, or the reciprocal? The way you wrote it indicates the reciprocal, which would be 1/7. On the other hand, you mention the function is one-to-one, so I think you might want to find a value for a point on the inverse. In this case, we can switch the x and y coordinates to get something like\[ f(−12)=7\rightarrow f ^{-1}(7)=-12\]
