Describe Japans feudal warrior system and identify how it was similar to that of medieval Europe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

japan had it's emperor, but he was pretty much a figurehead. the guys who actually ran most of everything were the landlords, who were clan leaders who had already been inhabiting their region before the emperor came to power. also, samurai were held at a very high level of respect. they were highly skilled young men who were pretty much a secret service to the emperor and devoted their entire lives to protecting him. in medieval europe, the feudal system went :king/ queen, lords and the Church, knights, then serfs. in europe, the king actually did do work. another very powerful source who was higher than the kings but an outside force was the Pope of the Church. he had authority over all coronations and was highly respected in medieval europe.|dw:1331758068080:dw|
