Becca, do you see WHY the original was not parallel? Can you articulate that reason?

If you don't learn the concepts, you're likely to be stopped in your tracks by the next version of that same question -- particularly if the nonparallel elements are more subtly not parallel. Understanding this construction can help you in your writing as well.
