Tell whether (5,2) is a solution of {x+3y=11} {2x-y=3}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got: 5+6=11 10-2=3 so (5,2) is not a solution. Is this correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(5,2), So these are points on a line. One of the ways you can get the answer is put in a graphing calculator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BTW. you are correct. Because the points do not satisfy the equation.
