This is really for chemistry, but I need help. So here it is: Fruit punch consists of 80g of sugar and 10g of juice dissolved in 230mL of water. Mass % of sugar? -% juice? please show work.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

230 ml of water is 230 g of water. So you can add to find the total mass. Then you can find the percent of sugar and of juice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

% mass of sugar = mass of sugar * 100/ total mass = 80g * 100 / ( 80 + 10 + 230) = 25% sugar Similarly, % mass of juice: = 10g * 100/ 320 = 3.13% juice
