we can write an equation of a plane in normal form such as rn=d where n is the normal vector and d is the dot product of a point on the plane and n. what is the specialty when n is a unit vector?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

specialty? I don't see any... In fact, I don't see how the length of the normal vector you chooses matters at all o-0

but i think i remember thet i read such a thing, can't remember exactly :(

OpenStudy (turingtest):

I'm flipping though my calc book, but...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think i got the point, tnx for your efort when we use unit normal vector, the d we get is the distance form origin!

OpenStudy (turingtest):

oh yeah, makes sense thank you :D
