Replication creates new DNA while transcription creates mRNA C. The cell's DNA must be transcribed before it can b replicated D. Transcription can be used when a cell is unable to replicate

B is your answer

OpenStudy (kainui):

If a cell could only transcribe their genetic information into proteins, they wouldn't be able to reproduce. If cells could only replicate their genetic information but lacked the ability to make any proteins out of that information, they'd be completely useless.
