x = 6/5 (can someone double check? i did this mentally :) )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just use the rule xy/x = y or 5(2)/2 = 5 remembering that you need the same denominator to add or subtract fractions. If you use the rule I just listed you can set all the fractions up to have the same denominator without changing their value

A. {0.25, 2} B. {1/2, 2} C. {1/2, 1} D. {.25, 1}

I recommend reading what I wrote, this is fundemental algebra and you must know this. If you have any questions please ask.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so (3)x/(x-1)(x) + 2(x-1)/x(x-1)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

multiply each term by x(x - 1) which gives 3x + 2(x -1) = 4x(x-1) expand and simplify 5x - 2 = 4x^2 - 4x then 4x^2 - 9x + 2 = 0 solve the quadratic (4x -1)(x-2)=0 then x = 1/4 or 2
