thnx friend for posting image: for R<d from gauss' law \[E=(\lambda/2\pi d \epsilon _{0})\] so electric flux is:\[\phi=E.A \rightarrow \phi=(\lambda/2\pi d \epsilon _{0})*\pi R^2\] i'm not sure about R>d. i think are the same
