OpenStudy (lilai3):

Kimiko and MIko are playing a game in which each girl rolls a number cube. If the sum of the numbers is a prime number, then Miko wins. Otherwise Kimiko wins. Find the sample space. Then find the probability that Miko wins.

OpenStudy (lilai3):

I got 18/36 or 1/2 for the probability...Is this right?

OpenStudy (lilai3):

what happened to ur comments?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I see it is the sum of the numbers. Out of the 36 possible outcomes there are these primes: 1 outcome of 2, 2 outcomes of 3 4 outcomes of 5 6 outcomes of 7 2 outcomes of 11 so there are 15 prime outcomes out of 36 outcomes. 15/36=5/12

OpenStudy (lilai3):

there is 1 outcome of 2 which is 1 and 1 there is 2 outcomes of 3 which is 1, 2 and 2,1 there is 4 outcomes of 5 which is 1,4 and 4,1 and 2,3 and 3,2 there are 6 outcomes of 7 which are 1,6 6,1 2,5 5,2 3,4 4,3 and finally there are 2 outcomes of 11, so there are 5, 6 and 6,5... oh, i get it now...thank you very much!
