How do you get the page numbers to be on the corner of a page?

Open MS word, you'll see File, Home and Insert. Click insert--in the fifth column over you will see "Page Number."

but how do u get it into the corner of ur page..when i pressed that, the number was rite next to the paragraph i typed...

It should give you a drop down menu when you click Page Number. It will read top of the page, bottom of the page etc. My next question is are you using Microsoft Office 2010?

You need to be in the header footer section---that is under insert too then you can use prebuilt or custom headers and footer...then you can get real fancy and have different headers for odd and even pages
