I don't understand this, I mean I do but there is an answer that I don't know how to check... Which of the following is true about the relation? A table of x and y-values. When x is 5, y is 8. When x is 5, y is 3. When x is 5, y is 5. When x is 5, y is 4. When x is 6, y is 5. Answer 4 comma 5 is an ordered pair in the relation. 6 is a y-coordinate. The range is the set of numbers: five comma six. There are 4 elements in the range.

Please help!

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

there are 5 ordered pairs (5,8) (5,3) (5,5) (5,4) (6,5) domain is all x values domain is [5,6] range is all y values range is [3,4,5,8]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And to find the range you would subtract 3 and 8?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would "The range is the set of numbers: five comma six." that be the answer?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

but 6 is NOt in the range the set of numbers 5,6 is the domain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OOOHHHHH I though the question was which is NOT true! LOL! That clears everything up! LOL! Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the answer is There are four elements in the range

OpenStudy (dumbcow):
