1,3,5,2,6,7,5,7,8,19,28,68,34,2,45,2,51,53,12,9 Give us the five number summary..
First, Rearrange into least to greatest.
[["MinX",1.]["Q₁X",4.]["MedianX",7.5]["Q₃X",31.]["MaxX",68.]]
from my calculator
Yes, but Show not doing...
{1,2,2,2,3,5,5,6,7,7,8,9,12,19,28,34,45,51,53,68}
alright cheers but working out would be great.... for the median that is..
Zarkon is right, you can enter the data in L1, Then Stat ....calc....1-var stats this will provide the 5 number summary. if you want to see the list in order.... stat...sort A....L1... then L1...
Of course we all learned it by hand to start with...very time consuming...but worth the trouble for the first few problems...
Especially those of us who were around before the calculators...lol...the good ole days....not really that great.
Study23: looks like you missing numbers from your data set
{1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 5, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9, 12, 19, 28, 34,45, 51, 53, 68} Ok, so the median is the middle of the set of numbers that is in order. In your case, this is 7=8 = 15/2 = 7.5. Lower extreme is the first number, which is 1. Lower quartile is the median of the lower half numbers. That is 3. Upper Quartile is the median of the upper half of numbers. That is 34. Upper Extreme is the highest number - the last number - which is 68. Hope that helps you!
The above is my updated answer - fixed it @Zarkon.
