creating my own word problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can someone please help me create my own word problem which requires integration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The velocity of a moving object can be described as \[v(t) = t^2\] where t is in seconds and v is meters per second.. If the object starts at v=0 when t=0, how far has it traveled after 30 seconds?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you. I have to incorporate the problem into a tissue box like the examples on this page http://mrskrummel.com/documents/tissueBoxProblem.pdf

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you think it would be a good idea to use that problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dunno, you could do an optimization of volume of the tissue box. Start with the surface area of a standard tissue box and calculate the maximum volume of a box with an equal surface area or something like that

Altig do you have any ideas for me?
