I would just replace (x-5) where ever you see x in the R(x) equation.

So I would have this:

\[r(x)=170.7(x-5)^{2}+ 1373(x-5) + 1080\]

Now you can just replace x value like you did in part a with the given r(x) numbers in part c.

In part d, x would represent the period between 2000 and 2005
