0-0 Please help me What adaptations would a plant living in a river need that a plant living in a pond would not need?

ok what survival pressures would a river plant be exposed to that a pond plant would not...by pressures I mean what kind of events would tend to help or hinder the survival of the plants: river: moving water pond: still water hmmmmm If the river plant cannot withstand the flow of the water it would end up as an ocean or pond or lake plant. So I am guessing that a river plant would need stronger longer diggier roots than a plant that is in still water. Also having more narrow leaves might help as that would provide less for the water to push against. It might also help the river plant to me more flexible so as to bend in the current. The river plant will also need to come up with a reproductive strategy so that its seeds dont all get washed away.

It would help to have a list of "river" plants as opposed to "pond" plants - but I'm not really finding that. My goto iconic pond plant is the lilypad: big flat leaves to do the photosynthesis - but I don't have a prototypical river plant to compare it too...although maybe I'm trying to me too literal. The trouble is that river plants also live around the edges of ponds. So, I can't think of a plant that is ONLY along rivers. So it becomes more of an issue of what adaptations can a pond plant have that a river plant could not. In that case the big floppy leaves of the lilypad are good examples. The edge of the river and edge of the pond type plants have to adapt to changing water levels and have nice long stems to lift the photosynthesis bits clear of the water.
