Moderators are a different story. Moderators are selected from the best, most mature OpenStudy users when we feel that we are in need of more people to handle spam and generally keep the community at the level we want it. We're not current looking for any moderators, but that changes depending on how much traffic there is on the site :)"

In the words of @farmdawgnation "Moderators are either members of the OpenStudy team or community members who the team feels have the qualities of a good moderator based on how they interact with other community members. It's not that glamorous, but if you really want to be a moderator the only way to get there is to become an active, helpful member of OpenStudy and hope you get lucky when we decide to add more moderators!  ☺"
