describe how you would find all possible rational zeros of the polynomial function f(x)=4x^3-5x^2+9x-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could use division.... or you could draw it on the graph.. plotting x vaues versus y values and see where the croos the y axis

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

1st use guess and check f(2) = 0 so (x-2) is a factor then polynomial division

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you, but what are the rational zeros do you know?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the 1st is at x = 2 do the division to find the factors and solve

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the function if f(x) = (x-2)(4x^2 + 3x +15) + 24
